Following an investigative report on Radio Canada's La Invoice show, several fake companies present themselves on the web with beautiful pages, partnerships with charities and even going so far as to write that the products are manufactured in Canada.
How not to be fooled?
1-Check that the physical address of the business is displayed on the site and check with Google to double check
2- Check on the invoice that the business number and Quebec tax numbers appear and are valid
3- Call the number appearing on the contact to make sure there is customer service on the line.
4- Look on Google for the comments on this company... because the comments on a website can all be false.
Be vigilant and tell yourself that when it's too good....it may not be true
